Ham Lookup Search By Call Sign Windows Screenshot

The screenshot above illustrates the 'Search by Call Sign' functionality provided by the Ham Lookup Amateur Radio callsign search callbook CD-ROM. Simply type the callsign in the field provided and press Enter or click the 'search' button.

When license data for the specified callsign is found in the license database, the name, address and other pertinent license details associated with the callsign are shown in the middle pane, and a new call sign entry is added to the 'QSO In-the-group' list that appears on the right side of the Ham Lookup dialog.

The 'QSO In-the-group' list is one of the many unique and incredibly useful features contained in Ham Lookup. The 'QSO In-the-group' list contains the callsign, first name, city and state for each successfully found call sign. This list can be sorted alphabetically or reverse-alphabetically by any of the four columns.

The 'QSO In-the-group' list can also be saved to a file (with any name) that you can re-load later. This save and restore functionality is another wonderful feature that effects logging - great for contesting, net-control, QSL'ing or a myriad of other uses.

Ham Lookup Search by Name or QTH Linux Screenshot

The screenshot above illustrates the 'Search by Name/QTH' functionality provided by the Ham Lookup Amateur Radio call sign search callbook CDROM. In this mode, you can search for callsigns or licensees by Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial, City, State, Zip Code or any combination.

Suppose you're working a QRP station, trying to complete your W.A.S. or other such certificate, and despite the valiant efforts of a great station: antenna, receiver, transmitter, the QSB, QRM and QRN results in your ability to only copy the first name, city and state of the station you're in QSO with. Using the 'Search by Name/QTH' functionality provided by the Ham Lookup Amateur Radio callsign search callbook CD-ROM, you may be able to salvage this precious contact by simply filling in the fields that you're sure of and perform a query. The results from such a query should allow you to search through the license database and track down the party you're in QSO with, salvaging that much anticipated contact.

After you've filled in as few or as many of the fields as desired, pressing Enter or clicking the 'search' button will cause Ham Lookup to search through the license database and begin to populate the query results list that appears at the bottom of the 'Search by Name/QTH' tab.

When you see the call sign license entry in the query results list that you've been looking for, simply click on it and the name, address and other pertinent license details associated with the callsign are shown in the middle pane, and a new entry is added to the 'QSO In-the-group' list that appears on the right side of the Ham Lookup dialog.
